Split/Second (PC)
Split/Second, the action racing game from Disney Interactive Studios and Black Rock Studio, was selected as Best Racing Game in the Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 2009. The award gives Black Rock Studio back-to-back victories in the category and marks the first time a development studio repeated in the racing category with different original properties. “The award is tremendous recognition for the innovation and uniqueness of Split/Second, which distinguished it from other established racing franchises and new properties,” said Tony Beckwit.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution (PC)
During the Game Developers Conference, Eidos Montreal Art director Jonathan Jacques-Belletete revealed that Deus Ex 3 has been officially renamed Deus Ex: Human Revolution. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because Square-Enix actually trademarked it last month. The title accurately reflects the game’s story, which takes place before the events of the original Deus Ex. According to Jacques-Belletete, the world in Human Revolution is on the cusp of a “transhuman revolution,” the beginning on mankind’s first real foray into cybernetics.

Playing as your average ninja robot about town, you begin each game with a sword and a quantum of energy. Leaping across each level leaving a bright trail in your wake, you must destroy other ninja robots to steal their energy. As you get more energy you change color and get bigger, stronger and brighter. This is where the catch comes in! You only get to convert your hard earned energy into game-winning points if you blow yourself up. The more opponents you take out in the explosion, the higher the multiplier, the higher the score!
